under-the-gun.org was registered on 2.2.04. The name was registered at namecheap.com and is hosted at surpasshosting.com. I recently upgraded my plan so that I now have 5GB of space and 100GB of bandwidth a month. Much better.

The name is from the name of a song, "Under the Gun" by Supreme Beings of Leisure. I love this song, it's awesome. It's also from the Animatrix, and I love the Matrix ^_^.

This layout was made using a render I found on GameRenders.com and some brushes that I can't remember where I found. I have too many brushes.

Layout History

Number 1: Featured Detective Ash from the Animatrix segment "Detective's Story" (which is also the segment with the song Under the Gun in it :D). Mostly shades of grey, it used Iframes.
Number 2: Featured Mana of the J-rock group Malice Mizer, was blue and white and used DIV layers. Was up for a very long time due to the fact that my computer broke and I had no way to change it, even though I got sick of it very quickly and it didn't go with the site theme at all.
Number 3: Featured Padme from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. This one I liked a lot; it was very simple, using DIV layers, and was dark colored and had a very simple beauty to it.
Number 4: Featured Kirika from the anime Noir. This one used Iframes as well as a javascript scroller. As beautiful as this layout turned out, it was a total pain in the ass to do...originally I tried to make the scrollbar transparent which didn't work, so I used the javascript scroller...which didn't always work properly.
Number 5: Featured Trinity from the Matrix Trilogy. This one was DIV layers again (simple to code and update :D). I dunno where I got the idea to do this one; I took a bunch of pictures and made them look like polaroid photos that have been pinned on a wall or something. Very cool looking :) (screencap)
Number 6: Featured Faye Valentine from the anime Cowboy Bebop...very red, I liked it a lot. (screencap)
Number 7: Featured the Bride from Kill Bill. Deviates a tiny bit from the usual site theme...but is still close enough =P (screencap).
Number 8: Featured Anakin and Padme from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Completely had nothing to do with the site theme....but hey, it's Star Wars :P (screencap)
Number 9: Featured the anime Gunslinger Girls. Very mellow, pastel colors. (screencap)
