Imadoki means "Nowadays" and it's about a simple girl, Tanpopo Yamazaki, who decided to go to school in the city at Meioschool in Tokyo. She tries to get adjusted to her new life, however difficulty always preceded her with the constant ridicule of her rich upperclass classmates. In addition, she meets a cute guy called Kugyou Kouki who has a very high status in Meioschool. But after that one meeting, he ignored her the next day.

Hoping to makes some friends and probably fit in more, Tanpopo started up a gardening committee and looked after the plants at school. The story progresses on her ideas and attempts to make Meischool a merrier and better place
